About Us

Healthy Bodies, Confident Minds, Bright Futures

At CK Theatre School, we believe that strong bodies and confident minds are the foundation for bright futures. Our school was founded with a passion for nurturing young talent, helping students develop creativity, resilience, and lifelong skills through the performing arts and dance. We provide a dynamic and supportive environment where every child can express themselves, build strength, and grow in confidence both on stage and in life. Through acting, dance, and movement, we empower our students to perform with passion, move with purpose, and succeed with confidence. Whether they aspire to a career in the arts or simply want to gain valuable life skills, CK Theatre School is where their journey begins.

Our Story

CK Theatre School, originally known as the Carol Kristian Theatre School, was established in the late 1970s by Carol Kristian, a professional dancer. The school began as a small dance class in Heronsgate Village Hall in 1977 but quickly expanded, necessitating a move to larger premises in Chorleywood. Over the years, the school opened a number of new locations and broadened its curriculum to include various dance and drama disciplines, catering to students aged 3 to 18.

In 2016, after nearly four decades, Carol Kristian retired. The schools leadership was then taken over by Lucy Sills, a professional dancer and performing arts lecturer and her husband Josh, a former CKTS student and theatre professional.

Today, CK Theatre School operates in multiple locations, including Chorleywood, Gerrards Cross, and Woburn Sands, offering a wide variety of acting and dance classes for young people in these areas.
